Rod Pumping Optimization Course at the Montanuniversität Leoben
From November 4th until November 7th an Optimization course by Theta Oilfield Services was held for pe students.
The Theta Enterprise Software package, which covers the full suite of the entire sucker rod pumping system, was acquired within the initiative PEPE, Petroleum Engineering Program for Excellence. This will improve the quality of the education at the School of Petroleum Engineering in Leoben as sucker rod pumped engineering skills are mandatory especially for all production engineers. The goal of this project is to train the students in the Production Lab Exercises on pump jack design, sucker rod design, well diagnosis and overall system optimization.
