Our Partners

The School of Petroleum Engineering at the Montanuniversität Leoben wants to be the first choice for all of its partner companies regarding all relevant engineering, research, development and future workforce needs. PEPE, Petroleum Engineering Program for Excellence is a cooperative effort between top oil companies and the School of Petroleum Engineering at the Montanuniversität Leoben. The program initiates and implements strategic projects important to the department and partner companies alike.  As a positive effect, these projects (along with the program as a whole) help yield an increase in the quality of our petroleum engineering graduates.

The following is a short extract of partnerships as of yet:

OMV is the leading energy company in central Europe. They are the essential co-founder and a leading sponsor of the departments Petroleum Engineering Program for Excellence (or PEPE for short).

The Rohöl-Aufsuchungs Aktiengesellschaft (RAG) is an important partner because of both their ample internship possibilities and PEPE partnership e.g., project Trattnach.

Schlumberger recently donated a generous software bundle to the department consisting of a wide range of their reservoir engineering software.

Halliburton just signed a contract to donate over 6 million dollars worth of their top-notch drilling and production software.  Further cooperative efforts are in progress.

Not only has  ExxonMobil offered abundant internship postitions over the years, but they are currently in the planning stages of a large research and development project with the School of Petroleum Engineering that will help further advance reservoir engineering technology.

Wintershall, RWE Dea and EON, in conjunction with School of Petroleum at the Montanuniversität Leoben, realize that hands-on experience is one of the most important parts of the petroleum engineering degree.  That is why they have had and continue to retain such long running partnerships in the area of student support and international internships.
