The full suite of the Theta Enterprise Software package, which covers the entire range of sucker rod pumping systems, was acquired in line with the Petroleum Engineering Program for Excellence.
This PEPE-project improves the quality of the education at the School of Petroleum Engineering in Leoben, as artificial lifting systems are mandatory for production engineers. The goal is to train the students in the Production Lab Exercises on pump jack design, sucker rod design, well diagnosis and overall system optimization.
It will be an ideal complement to the new setup of Petroleum Production Engineering lectures.
The system suite is equipped with programs to help with simulation, design and optimization of the entire line of sucker rod pumping system. The package is not only an excellent planning tool, but also an ideal field proven diagnosis tool to analyse and optimize existing sucker rod installations. Many major oil companies are customers of Theta Enterprises. They also attend courses held by Theta Enterprises.

The Montanuniversität Leoben owns 10 licenses as well as the network upgrade.
