Software Reservoir Engineering

Based on a survey of software tools used in OMV & RAG which lists the preferred software applications for reservoir engineering projects  this PEPE-Project has the following goals:

•  Provide commercial software to support student education in lectures and project work (theses and seminars)
• Petroleum Engineering students from the Mining University Leoben should be trained in use of software tools also used in OMV/RAG
• Petroleum Engineers from the Mining University Leoben will remain top class in numerical modelling

The following software could be acquired and implemented:

Petroleum Experts – IPM (Mbal, Gap, Prosper, PVTp)

Kappa Engineering – Ecrin Well Test Saphir

Decisioneering – Crystal Ball
